I am brainstorming for a group shoot with an amazing ballerina who is coming to Dallas soon, and I was reviewing all of our old work together. Soooo many images…Too many. Too many that have focus issues, or other problems that my more critical eye is picking up. On one hand, it makes me feel great that I’m advancing. On the other hand, we had some great ideas, and concepts, but I kinda hate to go back and try to recreate those, when there are so many more ideas that we have to play with.
Shoot slowly, and thoughtfully. Check your focus, but once you get in the groove, trust your eyes. But take that time up front and frame and focus.
Also, listen to smooth and upbeat music while reviewing old shoots…keep moving. Don’t get mired in the “what if’s?”
And now, back to it.
